Winery Tasting Notes

Colour

Quite an amazing bright yellow straw colour.

Aroma

A classic light fruity nose with some nutty/yeasty characteristics.

Palate

Olivier’s goal was to harvest the grapes early at an elegant level of ripeness to ensure the wine would ferment quickly and dry. The palate is therefore dry in an elegant, delicate style with good length and excellent drinkability.

Food Matching

A great food wine to enjoy with informal meals, chicken, shellfish and white fish dishes and summer salads.

Cellaring

Best consumed from now through to 2017

Winery Profile

Brand Profile Image

The Domaine Zind-Humbrecht was created in 1959 by the union of the family owned properties of Zénon Humbrecht, winegrower at Gueberschwihr and of Emile Zind, winegrower in Wintzenheim. Before this date each of the families were producing and selling their wines under their own name. Winegrower from father to son since the Thirty Years war in Europe (1620) the Humbrecht family has long winemaking traditions, with the current winemaker being Olivier Humbrecht MW.
