Overview

We are estate winegrowers who exclusively harvest and produce our own wines. We do not buy any grapes nor juice or wine.

A family vineyard established since 1810, nowadays, we are two generations working side by side for a better handover; Alain Beydon-Schlumberger, 6th generation, Séverine and Thomas Schlumberger, 7th generation.

Colour

Bright pale yellow in colour

Aroma

The nose is aromatic, with notes of yellow fruit - intense and rich.

Palate

On the palate, the onset is fresh but without excess, with a slight sparkling notes. The middle mouth is patty even while remaining dry. In the finish the wine is warm associated with freshness. The length is average and well balanced.

Food Matching

Goes well with smoked or raw fish, simple bistro food, and delicaressen.

Domaines Schlumber is located in Guebwiller in Alsace and has been family owned since 1810. It is the largest Grand Cru vineyard holder in the Alsace region with 68 ha of vines of classic Alsace varieties of Riesling, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer in the Grand Cru of Saering, Kitterle, Kessler and Spiegel representing more than half the total Domaine plantings.
