Expert Reviews

Matured in Russian and French oak. A medium to full-bodied cabernet that would (and has) gained attention in cabernet classes at wine shows where heavy hitters do well. It's also strongly regional, with black chocolate and licorice strap alongside the full-blown cassis fruit and generous, ripe tannins. Rating 90 - James Halliday

Winery Tasting Notes

The 2013 Doc Adams Cabernet Sauvignon colour is dark brick reds to almost black.

The aromas are cigar box and mocha which is typical in most McLaren Vale years when the fruit is picked really ripe.

The palate is very rich and wonderfully balanced with alcohol to fruit weight. It displays a wonderful mouth feel.
