The Petit Verdot and Malbec vines on the Mangan vineyard are now fully mature and thus producing fruit of exceptional quality. The Cullens have thus decided to elevate the blend that they produce from these two grape varieties to flagship status. The 2012 vintage of this unique wine style has benefitted from the use of careful basket pressing.

A 54/46% blend of Petit Verdot and Malbec wild-fermented and basket-pressed then matured in French oak, re-doubling the unique make-up of this wine. It is an essentially juicy, fruit-driven style, the rich plummy fruit of the malbec filling the mid-palate of the more structured petit verdot. and also softening the tannin impact of the Petit Verdot.
