Expert Reviews

Deep, dense purple-red; part estate, part contract-grown; archetypal full-bodied McLaren Vale shiraz, full of black fruits, dark chocolate and substantial, although ripe, tannins. Must be given time and space. Rating 90 - Drink by 2030 - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion (AUG/2012)

"Blueberry pie, blackberry and raspberry, earth, a bit of char and spice. It’s full bodied, but not overblown, with firm furry tannin that offers a pleasingly serious adult grip and texture. It’s not the deepest or most complex of wines, but has length and authentic character. Some dried herb on the finish. Reckon it needs a year or two more in bottle then it’s chocs away. " Rating 90+, Gary Walsh, www.winefront.com.au (10/APR/2012)
