The grapes were de-stemmed and fermented with maceration on skins for approximately 10 days, with the temperature never going above 26 degrees Celsius. The wine was racked (by gravity flow) before undergoing a natural malo-lactic fermentation. The wine was aged in French and American oak barrels for 12 months. It was fined with egg white and decanted for 25 days prior to bottling without filtration.

Winery Tasting Notes
Dense crimson ruby with bright rim.
The bouquet is of dark cherry and blackberry fruit conserve with some spicy notes, notably cinnamon and toasted vanillan.
Good fruit weight with medium body, power and richness yet with great acid balance and a velvety tannic structure. The finish is long showing good persistence of blackberry conserve and complex spicy notes.
Serve at around 14-15 degrees Celsius. A classic Crianza Rioja which will match beautifully with steak and other grilled red meats, casseroles (beef or lamb in particular), Spanish chorizo sausages, and mature cheeses such as manchego (sheep’s milk).
