Chianti Classico DOCG
This Chianti Classico is elegant, with excellent structure and huge amounts of very accessible fruit. Made from the Sangiovese clone best suited to the terroir at Villa Cafaggio it is aged for 12 months in traditional Slavonian oak casks, contributing to its wonderful structure, which is balanced by voluptuous fruit.
- ITA - Tuscany
The 2010 Chianti Classico is an expressive and intense Sangiovese with showy aromas of bold cherry fruit and elaborate spice. What I liked most about the wine is the balanced acidity that keeps the palate clean and refreshed, taking away any residual heaviness. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2020. Rating 88 - Drink 2013 - 2020 - Monica Larner, Wine Advocate (AUG/2013)
