Overview

One of Australia's most exciting winemaking talents - formally of Two Hands Matt Wenk - has made Brazen just for us!

Great wine stands by itself!

The aromas here are intense...full of florals, lemons, straw, snow peas and mineral notes. After a soft entry, the palate builds with lemon curd and straw flavours, mouth watering acidity and mineral notes, all coming together and finishing crisp and light.

Winery Profile

When it comes to finding mouth watering and delicious wines Australia is rich in choice. The journey and discovery finding one that stands out for you can be fun and surprisingly challenging often in equal measure. Surrounded by this and an industry brimming with passion, history and challenge it might be considered a little Brazen to dare to create a new wine able to proudly stand by itself. We prefer the term courageous. With the talents of internationally acclaimed winemaker Matt Wenk our vision is to make excellent wines of which we can be proud and can hold their own against other remarkable wines. It maybe Brazen, we think the proof is in the bottle.

About Matt Wenk

Consulting to Brazen Wines is just one of Matt Wenk's roles. With a CV that reads like the Oscars of Wine, Matt came to prominence as Two Hand's first Chief winemaker. During his eleven years there he was awarded an early and prestigious placement at the internationally regarded Len Evans tutorial. He also became (& remains) the only winemaker in the world to have wines of his making listed in the Wine Spectator Top 100 for 10 consecutive years. After his time at Two Hands, Matt ventured out on his own creating stunning and highly sought after wines under his Smidge Wines label (yes, he makes just a little bit).
