Expert Reviews

This is very lean sauvignon blanc, deliciously dry and sprinkled with a hit of peppery spice for interest. It's long, refreshing and racy with a fine mineral kick in the finish. Simple tropical fruit juiciness comes to play. Nothing cerebral, but it doesn't have to be - a good thirst slaker is sometimes the order of the day. 89 Points. Drink : 2011 - 2013.' Winery Profile

Bourke Street Wines is the exciting new labelconceived by the young-gun winemaking duo of AlexMcKay (Collector Wines) and Nick O’Leary (of theeponymous label). The focus is on fruit from highquality vineyards made to express typicity of thegrape and region. It's a well known fact the pair have immense skill with the Shiraz grape, though their first releases of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir indicate theirtalents are as diverse as the vineyards from whichthey source their fruit. When the stars align, as theyhave with this venture, you could expect to be payinga premium...though these Bourke Street winesrepresent exceptional value.
