After fermenting in small open top fermenters the wine spent up to 18 months in selected new and older fine grain American oak. Parcels were chosen to give the final wine the best balance between varietal fruit character and oak complexity and structure.
Another great wine by the Willson sisters.

There is an inherent complexity in the wine that seems to come from the vineyard rather than the winery; while only medium to full-bodied, red and black fruits, licorice, bitter chocolate and earth are all in play. James Halliday, Rating 90, 27th July 2015
