- SA - Barossa
- South Australia
Solid hit of sweet, jammy blackberry and bitumen flavour with salted licorice lingering through the aftertaste. Rough and ready but beefy, particularly given the price. Rating 87 - Drink by 2017, James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion (FEB/2015).
Winery Tasting Notes
Deep cherry in colour.
This wine exhibits aromas of rich, punchy spice with hints of plum jam and black cracked pepper.
The palate is full and luscious and is layered with flavours of plum, spice and chocolate. This wine has a firm fruit backbone with rich gentle mouth filling tannins. A full bodied wine which has good length and is an excellent example of Barossa Shiraz.
