DOC Rioja Crianza
Lealtanza is the name we chose for our wines because of its meaning in ancient Spanish, that is loyalty. Bodegas Altanza is loyal to Rioja tradition when selecting only Tempranillo variety, which is authoctonous from Rioja., for all its wines. For these wines we select our best Tempranillo grapes, from medium to old vineyards in order to produce the best wines suitable for long ageing in our winery.
Lealtanza crianza suits the classic palates, but it also pairs with the young generation of Rioja wine lovers. If you like simple pleasures, you will enjoy our crianza; tasty and elegant as it only can be.
Crianza was aged for 12 months in French casks and 12 months in the bottle.
- IMPORTED - Spain
The 2009 Lealtanza Crianza (a bit of a tongue-twister!) is aged for 12 months in French oak. It has an attractive nose of bright red fruit, kirsch, underbrush and orange rind that is well-defined. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannins, dark berries laced with cedar and spice leading to a firm, quite masculine finish. It has good length and personality. Drink now-2016. Rating 88 - Drink now-2016 Neal Martin, Wine Advocate (AUG/2012)
