This is another outstanding mature Chardonnay from this single estate in Pokolbin. 2001 was a standout vintage and this wine is rich and voluptuous with full bodied fruit and oak combining to give a finish that is delicate and restrained. Great wines have a sophistication and elegance which blossoms over time to become a unique reward for discerning wine lovers.

Winery Tasting Notes
It has brilliant clarity with distinctive yellow and gold hues.
The bouquet is rich and creamy with subtle American oak and hints of tropical fruit.
The palate is well balanced with the mouth-filling flavours of peaches and cream lifted by passion fruit and pineapple sweetness. It has nutty complexity and the finish is long, mellow and satisfying with a surprisingly smooth aftertaste.
This is a surprisingly well balanced Chardonnay and still showing considerable fresh fruit characters for its age. It suited to more spicy dishes with clean fresh flavours like mild Thai curries and baked fish.
With 12 years cellar aging this Chardonnay is perfect now but as with all wines from this vineyard it will continue to live for many years yet.
This is another exciting wine from a stable of proven performers expressly crafted to age for decades. Grown in a single estate in Pokolbin this wine has been released at 12 years of age and is in perfect condition to be enjoyed now but will happily continue to provide tantalizing enjoyment for many more years.
