Our Prestige Single Vineyard range of wines are produced from our best estate grown grapes and reflect low yield vines and meticulous viticulture. Special attention in the cellar in terms of handling, employing high tech and traditional methods, result in these elegant wines of limited production.

Winery Tasting Notes

The aromatics are soft to arrive, with ripe berry fruit, dark cherries, and cocoa.

There is a big oak component but it does not over power the fruit. These aromatics follow through beautifully onto the palate. The tannins start to arrive in the mid-palate and finish slightly thready, while the acidity is nicely balanced. This is a soft, yet well structured wine which has plenty of life left in it!

Food Matching

Pinot noir matches perfectly with any red meats, and strong cheeses, but stay away from tomato based sauces!

Winery Profile

Brand Profile Image

Our family has a reputation of producing wines consistent in flavour and quality year after year. We attribute our success to excellent growing conditions, hard work and a desire to produce the world's best wines.

Allan Scott Family Winery has several vineyards situated in two of the world’s most prestigious growing regions - Marlborough and Central Otago, New Zealand. As the owners of our own vineyards and winery we have control of our product, from the growing on our vines and the harvesting of our grapes to the bottling and marketing of our wines.

The Allan Scott Family Winery Marlborough vineyards are situated close to our winery and restaurant complex in the Rapaura area of the Wairau Plains. The gravelly soils that predominate are perfectly suited to the production of the aromatics; Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Gris, and Gewürztraminer. Traditionally made Chardonnay and Pinot Noir is also produced.

Situated in breathe taking scenery on the main road between Wanaka and Queenstown the Allan Scott Family Winery, Scott Base, grows predominantly Pinot Noir, with small plots of Chardonnay and Pinot Gris.
