The 2010 vintage will be remembered as a great year in Coonawarra, and this wine is a lovely example of the merits of the famed Terra Rossa strips of soil.

Expert Reviews

"The white label range is new from Petaluma. For its price, it is magical, relatively plump and meaty, but beautifully structured with its oak neatly tucked behind the fruit. It’s complex, but easy, accessible and simply delicious. "Brisbane News, (20/MAR/2013)

"Petaluma’s new white label cabernet provides aromatic, soft, drink-now pleasure. It’s an elegant style, built on Coonawarra’s unique ripe-berry fl avours, backed by a pleasant, dusty/woody sweetness, derived from maturation in French oak barrels. "Rating 3.5 Stars - Chris Shanahan (27/MAR/2013)

"Petaluma released its new White Label wines earlier this year. The range includes this cracking Coonawarra cabernet, a chardonnay, pinot gris and sauvignon blanc. Think lashings of black fruit, minty undertones and supple tannins and youll be on the money "Illawarra Mercury (13/APR/2013)

Winery Tasting Notes

Aromas of black currants, liquorice cassis and cedar are complemented by a lovely hint of mint.

The palate is big and rich, but also has elegance. Ripe, soft sandy tannins contribute to a generous textural mouth feel.

An approachable dry red now, the 2010 Cabernet will age gracefully for many years.
