Print Shiraz is a finely boned wine which balances the power of fruit and a delicacy of structure. Select parcels of fruit from low-yielding vines on the oldest blocks of the Mitchelton estate are harvested in small batches.
Described by the Mitchelton Winemaking team as a “majestic and regal wine, its vivacity tempered by its lithe and luminous build. A wine that delights upon introduction and deepens into a passion on further acquaintance, it is ever resilient and enduring.”

"Mitchelton’s Print Shiraz has a proud quality history but I’d still think that it hasn’t reached the heights – or complexity levels – its site is capable of producing. Indeed Mitchelton’s standard shiraz is a more interesting drink than this flag-bearer. Excessive or inappropriate oak is often Print Shiraz’s biggest issue. That said, this 2009 release is a pretty impressive wine. Concentrated, ripped with tannin, bright enough and yet black enough. Raspberries and blackberries, plums and clovey vanillin oak. It’s a juicy wine and yet finely and assertively well structured. Length not an issue. Should age very well. "

"A well-mannered, minty, reductive and gamey central Victorian shiraz with plenty of polish and complexity. Its meaty, musky bouquet of dark berries, plums, fine-grained oak, licorice and charcuterie meats precedes a smooth, generous and fine-grained palate of pleasing length. Underpinned by fine, dusty tannins, its ripe and minty presence of blackcurrants, raspberries and blackberries its sweetly oaked, finishing with a lingering core of intense fruit and fresh acids. "

Print Shiraz is a finely boned wine which balances the power of fruit and a delicacy of structure.
Intense deep purple, violet hues.
This wine opens with complex aromas of mulberry, cherry and christmas pudding peppered with spicy star anise, cedar and cocoa powder.
Rich, opulent fruits of plum, mulberry and strawberry marry with cinnamon bark, licorice and clove overtones. These powerful and persistent flavours melt together with rich chocolatey mouthcoating tannins that will evolve and soften over the next 10-20 years.
