Expert Reviews

Blend of Yarra Valley cabernet sauvignon and merlot, in a Burgundy bottle. Just to mess with your mind.

It’s juicy and curranty and feels soft as it rolls along your tongue. Very pleasant it is. Chocolatey notes, presumably from oak, play a minor role, as do leafy dried herb characters. I tasted this a few months ago and liked it; tasting it now I like it just a little bit more. It’s all heading in the right direction. It could well drink better again in a year or so. Rating 89, Drink to 2019+ Campbell Mattinson, Wine Front (MAY/2014)

Winery Tasting Notes

Full dark red with purple hues.

Fragrant cabernet nose of blackcurrants, brambles, bay leaf and sweet cooked plums.

The palate is soft juicy and rich, laced with black fruits, raspberry, vine leaf and cedar. Medium bodied, savoury and structured with graphite like tannins adding length and line.
