Expert Reviews

Glowing gold; I don't know where the botrytis came in ’09, but its here in spades in this very complex wine, with cumquat, mandarin and honey/honeycomb fruit in abundance; good balancing acidity. Rating 94 - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion (AUG/2011)

Luscious, lengthy sweet flavours make this Hunter Valley sticky an absolute dessert must. John Fordham, Sunday Telegraph (13/FEB/2011)

The palate is rich and luscious with clean, fresh citrus fruits giving the wine a beautiful balance between richness and acidity. The wine finishes long and clean.

Food Matching

An excellent match with desserts and provides a prefect contrast when accompanying cheese or pate.

Winemaking Note

This wine was picked at the equivalent of 22 baumé, which ensures a rich luscious palate but had sufficient whole fruit to ensure that we have plenty of primary fruit characteristics. No oak was used and the wine was bottled early to ensure its fresh fruit characters are maintained.
