"The Dogwalk' represents the path that Neil Pike and faithful Labrador Bella walk morning and night - come rain, hail or shine - around the Cabernet and Merlot vines at Pikes Estate in the Polish Hill River sub region of the Clare Valley.

Winery Tasting Notes
Medium to deep red.
Attractive aromas of red currant, dark cherry and spice, with a just a touch of damp undergrowth. The subtle French oak is as much in the background as the fruit is in the foreground.
A medium bodied palate displaying fine, silky tannins, balanced acidity and barely perceptible oak. The red and black currant flavours are rich, long and juicy.
A good wine from a challenging red vintage in Clare. Makes a nice drink now for such a young wine, but will take 3-5 years cellaring easily.
Try this wine with Chinese style BBQ beef ribs.
