This wine was made as a Rose from the very first day in the vineyard. The fruit was picked mid-March and crushed to a press for 6 hours skin contact time. Once the desired colour and flavour was attained the juice was drained from the press and cold-settled. Racking a day later was then utilised to clarify prior to fermentation at cool temperatures. Upon attaining the desired sugar level the fermentation was ceased followed by immediate stabilisation, clarification and bottling. Pristine fruit in a bottle is more than apt to this style.

" One of the better Roses based on cabernet sauvignon from the Margaret River vineyard. Lightly leafy on the nose with traces of red currant perfumed violets. The palate is light bodied and beautifully fresh with a persistent lively acid. Excellent current drinking with a little touch of sweet fruitiness."
Rating 90 - Ray Jordan The West Australian Wine Guide 2014
Bright, full pink; a 100% cabernet base does not prepare you for the residual sugar in the wine; for those who like some sweetness in their rose, but not otherwise. Rating 88 - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion (AUG/2013)
Winery Tasting Notes
If you think strawberries and cream you would be spot on. Definite hints of summer pudding showing through.
There are the unmistakable primary characters of berry fruits with a hint of spice, all balanced with a natural acidity producing a refreshing and flavoursome finish. All in all a wine we believe is a benchmark Australian style. Definitely a wine to be served chilled and drink whilst fresh and vibrant.
