Winery Tasting Notes

Deep intense magenta and purple colour.

Elegant berry fruits with some spicy, cedar notes.

Medium bodied with spicy savoury dark cherry flavours. The French oak barriques used in maturing this wine provide structure and intensity while being perfectly integrated. Typical Tamar Ridge tannins are balanced by supple fruit character that builds into a long, silky finish.

This is a full-flavoured Pinot Noir that is enjoyable now but also has the structure to continue to improve in bottle for another 8 to 10 years.

Food Matching

Try the Pinot Noir with a beef shin risotto that is infused with wild mushrooms and loads of freshly ground black pepper. Or a selection of washed rind cheeses with pepper lavosh.
