Coriole has grown Barbera for over a decade and produces it in the traditional red table wine style of Northern Italy.

Barbera is second only to Nebbiolo in Northern Italy, and is renowned for having marked acidity. This however can be one of the most satisfying wines with a range of foods.

Expert Reviews

Sweet fruit with a lick of savouriness. Just enough tannin to give it shape and composure. Impeccably well balanced. Jubey fruit jumps out at you like an exclamation mark. Does it taste good? Definitely! Rating 93 - Drink by 2017 - C.M., Australian Wine Companion (MAR/2014)

Winery Tasting Notes

Lifted and aromatic. Sour cherry and spice on the nose.

The palate is medium bodied with bright fruit, red berries and a hint of earthiness. A soft, elegant style with clean acidity and fine balance.
