A sleeper of the vintage, this sexy, charming, Burgundian-styled wine offers fleshy black cherry notes intermixed with camphor, flowers, and pain grille. Supple tannin, velvety texture, and luscious aromatics as well as flavors result in an alluring claret to drink over the next 12-14 years. Drink 2007 - 2021 Rating 90 - Robert Parker, Wine Advocate #171 (Jun/2007)
Smoky rich on the nose - definitely above average! Lively and well balanced without forcing. Well done! Rating 16/20 - Jancis Robinson (28/Jul/2009)

Deep, fairly dark, garnet-red colour.
Delicate fruity bouquet.
Starts out with a great deal of elegance. Lovely tannic texture, superb balance, and a wide range of flavours.
This charming 2004 exemplifies qualities that very typical of Chateau La Lagune. The aftertaste is fresh, fruity, well-focused, and elegant.
A mild winter was followed by an early as well as slightly cool, rainy spring and a relatively dry summer. The weather was ideal during flowering. The summerlike temperatures in early September played an important role in the success of the vintage. The harvest took place without any problems, during extremely favourable weather.
