Margaret River saw a slightly cooler start to the growing season. This turned around in late December with warm to hot days and cool to warm nights, which are more consistent with the norm. These ideal ripening conditions have produced whites with great acid structures and flavour profiles. Again all fruit was disease free with all varieties coming off at perfect ripeness.

A 79/21% blend from the estate vineyard planted in 1970, one of the first in Margaret River. It has considerable attitude, with grass/green pea nuances a backdrop for the tropical passionfruit and gooseberry fruit given structure by crisp, lemony acidity. Rating 94 - Drink by 2015 - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion (JAN/2014)
"I always enjoy the softening of the sav blancs with semillon grapes. Here is a lovely blend that has fresh fruit and crispness." Rating 93 -Peter Chapman, News Mail Bundaberg QLD, 24 July 2013
Winery Tasting Notes
Very pale straw with a lime hue as one would expect from a fresh new vintage white wine.
An elegant ombination of gooseberries, citrus and passionfruit aromas coming through.
This wine has always been a beacon when it comes to mouthfeel and texture. This year is no exception. The palate has a crisp minerality to it and there is grassy and spice notes in addition to the primary gooseberry and passionfruit flavours. The finish is crisp and dry. Serve chilled, and drink whilst young.
