Colour

Brilliant, dark red in appearance with a scarlet hue.

Aroma

This wine shows intense aromatics of red fruits combined with more savoury notes of black olive, bay leaf and roasted coffee bean with generous lashings of cedar, char and spice derived from French oak maturation.

Palate

Precise and elegant, this medium bodied Cabernet Sauvignon displays fruit flavours of plum, cherry, milk chocolate and fruit cake with hints of quintessential Margaret River herbaceousness. Fine velvet tannins and French oak maturation have provided wonderful structure and sustained flavour and length.

We are truly flattered and driven to uphold a reputation that is only as good as each new vintage.

The Brookland Valley winery and cellar door is situated in the heart of the Margaret River, in the Wilyabrup sub-region along Caves Road.

Our story began in 1984 when vineyard consultants Brian Croser and Tony Jordan were employed to assist in the establishment of Brookland Valley. The estate vineyard was planted with classic cultivars Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc.

Brookland Valley now has enviable fruit sources from premium vineyards in five of Margaret River's six sub-regions, providing a brilliant palette of flavours from which to craft our wines. The vineyards spread over the length of Margaret River from Yallingup in the north to Karridale in the south, representing the very best flavours of the region.

From the beginning our winemaking philosophy has been clear:100% pure Margaret River wines, crafted from classic cultivars with minimal winemaking intervention. This allows the characteristics of each particular variety to be a focus, and the resultant wines to truly reflect their terroir.

We are honoured to be the region's most highly decorated producer in Australian wine shows, and named “Winery of the Year” in the highly regarded James Halliday Australian Wine Companion 2009 Edition.
