Expert Reviews

A blend of 55.9% pinot noir and 44% chardonnay from Tumbarumba and the Yarra Valley that upholds an impressively pale and bright hue for its age. Crunchy lemon fruit is toned by 5 years of maturity, with rising toasty, honeyed and mixed spice character and a creamy mouth feel. This is a vintage of impressive length and line, with some dry extract structural grip lending a little firmness to the finish. TS - Australian Wine Companion, Rating 91, 27th July 2015

Winery Tasting Notes

Medium straw with a yellow gold hue.

Lifted aromas of butter toast , sautéed mushroom and nougat.

Rich and flavoursome expressing characters of lychee, truffle and sourdough. A solid natural acid backbone is at the core of the elegantly structured palate. The flavours have great persistence and although the wine exhibits an intriguing complexity it retains the vibrancy that is a trademark of this label.
