Petaluma harvests chardonnay fruit from seven distinguished site vineyards in the Piccadilly Valley sub-region of the Adelaide Hills. The result is a very textured wine with lovely lingering acidity.

Aroma/Palate

A full-flavoured, fruit driven Petaluma Chardonnay. Ripe nectarine and white peach aromas are complemented by soft toasty oak nuances. The palate balances vibrant fruit notes with a sublime minerality, creamy mouthfeel and lovely lingering acidity.

Winemaker Andrew Hardy

Andrew began with Petaluma in 1982, working and studying his wayup through the ranks as cellar hand, trainee winemaker and finally leadwinemaker. Successfully interweaving practical, ‘in the vineyard’ workwith university studies, Andrew completed his Bachelor of Appl. Sci(Wine Science) at University of Adelaide in 1990. Nominated in August1999 as a finalist in AGT Wine Magazine's Winemaker of the Year award, Andrew is highly respected for his effortless winemaking style,restrained hand in the winery and engaging manner.
