This wine is a blend of selected vineyards in the Awatere and Wairau valleys of Marlborough. These vineyards are meticulously managed to ensure that intensely flavoured and healthy fruit is obtained. A core selection of Pinot Noir clones were used to provide the individuality of their site and enhance blending options.
The wine is concentrated and rich combined with the elegance, finesse and complexity that makes Pinot Noir unique.

"Mid crimson, Restrained, peppery red and dark fruit. Then more savoury and serious on the palate with no unnecessary sweetness. Rich but not heavy. Long, too." Rating 17/20 - Julia Harding MW, www.jancisrobinson.com (15/AUG/2012)
"The Cellar Selection was a blend of three single vineyard sites and showed dried herbs, redcurrant flavours and an appealing minerality."

Winery Tasting Notes
A perfumed bouquet of red and dark cherries, berry fruit and spice notes.
This medium bodied wine is concentrated and juicy displaying long layers of flavour, integrated acidity and fine grainy tannins. It exhibits finesse and complexity with underlying structure and a supple texture that can be enjoyed now in its youth.
With careful cellaring the wine will continue to develop for another five to eight years.
