The fruit for this wine is grown in the stony, free-draining warm soils of the Gimblett Gravels. Touriga Nacional, also a Port variety is blended in small proportions to add complexity, colour and depth.

Lifted violet florality on the aroma, partnered with rich, gamey berryfruit and spice. The oak is so well balanced and hardly noticeable in the background as the full, ripe, complex fleshiness of this wine gives way to a fine mix of acid and tannin on the finish. A wine to keep, but extraordinary now with red meat. M. Brajkovich MW
Winery Tasting Notes
Tempranillo typically shows very attractive brambly, blackberry-like ripe fruits along with spicy and exotic complexity.
The palate is rich and textural with salivating soft tannins. Licorice and chocolate flavours linger on the finish.
This wine will age extremely well for at least five years but equally can be drunk in its youth.
Red meat or pork would be an ideal match along with traditional Tapas style dishes.
