The Adelaide Hills region has proven to be well suited to growing Pinot Gris successfully. This is the 12th release of the Pike & Joyce version and we think one of the best. It is still one of the best white wines to pair up with spicy Asian food. Drink now and over the next 3-5 years.

Subtle notes of Nashi pear, nectarine and peach, along with a hint of wet stone.

The palate is medium bodied possessing stone fruit mentioned above and some mineral/stony textures that gently wash over the mid palate providing length and interest. Balanced acidity ensures the wine does not finish fat or heavy.

Winery Profile

Brand Profile Image

Pike & Joyce represents the coming together of two families to form a partnership in wine. The Pike family, long established in winemaking, viticulture and brewing, and the Joyce family, longtime horticulturists, banded together in 1997 to develop a new joint venture vineyard at Lenswood, in the Adelaide Hills wine region of South Australia. Both families have been at the forefront of their respective fields for over 100 years. Only varieties totally suited to the cool climate of this region have been planted on the former apple, pear and cherry orchard site. These varieties include Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. Both families hope you will enjoy these wines.
