A fantastic follow up to the wonderful 2012 vintage. Fast flowering saw an even fruit set producing a good crop. The warm and dry summer, followed by a cool autumn were ideal conditions for balanced and uniform ripening of the grapes. The resultant wines are strong in both colour and fruit concentration – an outstanding Coonawarra vintage.

For up-front flavour it has it going on. It’s ripe, sweet and supple, easy to chug into. It slips along the tongue. It tastes of ripe, syrupy plum, cherry and raspberry, with creamy vanillin oak. Uncomplicated, simple even. Loose-knit too. But the flavours it does offer, and the way they feel as they glide through the mouth, will please a lot of folks.
