"2010 may go down as a stand-out vintage for Bowen Estate reds. The bouquet is complex, savoury and nicely formed with earth, oak, walnut characteristics. Excellent depth of flavour and structure with smooth, well managed tannins." 95 Points – 5 Stars - Huon Hooke - Gourmet Traveller – WINE – June 2012
"The 2010 Bowen Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is about rich, elegant and balanced flavours, the hallmarks of a classic Coonawarra red." John Fordham – On the Grapevine – Sunday Telegraph, Sydney – March 2012
Winery Tasting Notes
The beautiful clear and deep dark red in colour.
Intense and lively fruit perfumes leap out of the glass.
The palate is classically structured with long elegant and balanced Coonawarra tannins supported by abundant rich sweet Cabernet Sauvignon flavours and the savoury smoky hints of French oak. This wine shows great lingering length and depth of palate that is perfectly balanced for current drinking but will age with grace.
All beef and game dishes and well aged cheeses.
