The Enterprise Vineyard sits atop Clare's Terra Rossa Soils. It has produced all the Enterprise Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon since 1974.
A great example of a Clare Valley Cabernet of great strength and texture. The wine fills the palate with generous rich berry fruit and great varietal Cabernet character. Fine drying tannins balance with the fruit weight and subtle oak spice.

Good colour; the 40-year-old estate vines grow on red soil with limestone fragments; the wine is uncompromisingly full-bodied, blackcurrant the major fruit driver, but with enthusiastic support from persistent tannins and a lot of French oak. I don't normally give points for where the wine will be in five years time, but do so in this instance. Rating 94 - Drink by 2035 - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion (FEB/2013)
Winery Tasting Notes
The nose displays a complex array of red and black berry fruits mixing with cedar, cassis, violets and hints of classic Clare choc mint. A core of blackberry fruit on the palate is rich, whilst still maintaining vibrancy and liveliness.
The palate is firmly structured with fine tannins leading through to a long finish.
This wine will benefit from aging for up to 10 years.
