This superb Malbec has a deep violet colour and offers concentrated aromas of plums, black cherries and notes of chocolate. The rich blackberry and black currant fruit flavours are rounded off perfectly by soft, supple tannins.

This has a good racy beam of raspberry fruit buried under layers of plum jam and melted licorice. Rather obvious, but stays fresh enough. Rating 85 - James Molesworth, Wine Spectator (01/JAN/2009)
Full to the brim with juicy blueberry fruit, this incredibly young red is already very well balanced and drinking beautifully. Malbecis a meaty warrior of a grape but Argento tames its wilder elements and the result is a bargain-priced wine with a fantastic flavour. Matthew Jukes, Daily Mail Weekend(UK) (02/JAN/2010)
Argento’s Reserva Malbec offers unbelievable value. The purple-coloured 2008 features ripe raspberry, black cherry and sandalwood aromas, leading to a medium full body featuring more ripe berry fruit flavours and hints of cocoa, supported by mild tannins. Toasty oak notes are prominent on the medium-long finish. My note: Simple and full-bodied with black fruit.Rating 85 - Nathalie McLean (07/NOV/2009)
An unusual specimen, especially on the nose, where spice cake, floral and incense aromas are typical. The palate is kind of sharp and immature, with grapey, blueberry flavors and coconut on the finish. A different breed of Malbec, but not what we’d call a slam-bang success. Rating 84 - Michael Schachner, Wine Enthusiast (12/OCT/2009)

Juicy flavors and blckberry, with a touch of chocolate and vanilla from oak aging, lead into a long lingering finish with ripe velvety tannins.
The Argento Wine Company uses the latest in vineyard and cellar technology to create wines which reflect characters typical of the Mendoza region of Argentina. The use of fruit from higher, cooler areas has enabled us to create elegant wines with fruit purity and finesse. We believe these are wines with broad appeal but also with a strong sense of place and that they are an excellent representation of the outstanding quality that Argentina is capable of.
