Expert Reviews

This is comprehensively the best vintage since 1996, and a substantial quantity has been earmarked for Bollingers RD program. Over the course of several days, I tasted, nay drank it on three occasions, each time awed by its intense purity and focus. It has the highest percentage of chardonnay (40%) in any Grande Année, and you barely see the 8.5 g/l of dosage. Grapefruit pith, cherry and lemon intermingle with notes of toast and forest floor, and the wine has incredible line and length. Rating 97 - James Halliday, Weekend Australian (13/AUG/2011)
