It’s all Bollinger: presence, modesty, power and delicacy.
And yet other notes come to the fore: small wild berries in the countryside on hot summer afternoons…
Lively fruit is contained by the wine’s precise structure, which gains in fullness and ends with mellow notes that stay on the palate and resound in the memory for a long time.

ONE OF THE TOP 10 ROSE CHAMPAGNE RECOMMENDATIONS
"No surprises that this is a highly polished effort from Bollinger. Red cherries and raspberries mingle on the deep, inviting nose. Theres vibrancy to the palate and further red fruit flavours, but with a darker twist. Complex and moreish" www.decanter.com (Global), February 2009
"Why it’s French and it’s pink – we don’t think you’ll be able to get more romantic that that….Raspberries and blackberries up front with an elegant palate that will be sure to impress. " Voyeur - Virgin Blue (Australia), February 2009
90 Points "In the full style that is Bollinger’s hallmark, this wine fills the mouth with very fresh, wild strawberries, lively berries and a great waft of acidity. The result is rose that is close to wine; a fine Champagne to have with food." Wine Enthusiast (US) (USA), December 2008
95 Points "Bollinger’s newly released NV Rose is made with the addition of five to six percent of Grand Cru red wine to the Special Cuvee base wine, creating a tighter and finer style with rose petal and wild honey nuances." Wine Business Monthly, Tyson Stelzer (Australia), November 2008
5 Stars "A new Bollinger champagne only comes around every so often, and this non-vintage pink wine was worth waiting for. It has very fine strawberry fruit on the nose, along with nutty, fruit-bread complexity and yeasty richness. The palate is typically concentrated, some would say masculine, yet it has true freshness and finesse as well. (12% alcohol; cork.) Ageing? Drink over two years. Food ideas: Pates and terrines." Epicure - The AGE, Ralph Kyte Powell (Australia), 28 Oct 08
94 Points "Typical floral notes of tart cherry. The palate is crisp and tight with a fine precise acid and a lingering flavour thats tight and lively. Theres deep complexity in here with the dry finish a feature. Either as an aperitif or a food wine." West Australian, Ray Jordan (Australia), 25 Oct 08
Winery Tasting Notes
The colour of Bollinger Rosé combines the rich bronze highlights of the Special Cuvée and the intense depth of the red wine. This could be the tint of the raw flesh of wild salmon barely reddened over charcoal. It is a light and a depth. It is the colour of a great wine.
The wine reveals all the fullness of expression of the Special Cuvée to the nose. All Bollinger is there: presence and modesty, power and delicacy. And yet other notes come to the fore in the mouth: small wild berries in the countryside on hot summer afternoons. Raspberries, blackberries, gooseberries - the first note of acidity is jolted by the sensuousness of the flesh.
An impertinent flavour dances in the mouth, but the lively, joyous sparkle of the fruit is always contained by the wine’s precise structure, which gains in fullness and climaxes with mellow notes that stay on the palate and resound in the memory for a long time.
The blend - 62% Pinot Noir, 24% Chardonnay, 14% Meunier.
