Winery Tasting Notes
Very pale lime as one would expect from a fresh new vintage of white wine.
There is an elegance about this wine on the nose that belies with what follows on the palate. Slightly herbal in nature with fresh gooseberry and box, the nose really is like a fine perfume.
Gorgeous. Classic Margaret River Sauvignon in every sense of the word. There is such a persistence in both these regards that long after the wine is swallowed one is still able to dwell upon what is a very, very good white wine. Drink well chilled whilst young an vivacious. Perfect with seafood and minimalist at that, go natural.
2010 was virtually a perfect year with a dry, warm and drawn out Summer and Autumn. Both sugar and flavour ripening occurred simultaneously resulting in wines with seamless balance. 2010 is a year where the fruit flavours are more pronounced and riper in style. The palate weight is spot-on and the texture of the wines undeniable. A great year if ever there was one.
