A lovely savoury dry white wine, light bodied as befits the style. Certainly the aromatics some through on to the palate which is perfectly balanced and finishes with both length and crispness

91 Points. Deliciously vibrant, lively and fresh; lemon/citrus/mineral notes interwoven on bouquet and palate, then a bright, fresh finish with a farewell of passionfruit. James Halliday Wine Companion 2010 Jun-09
"Outstanding wine. Lime and herbal notes on the nose with an intense powerful palate merging some vibrant grassy herbaceousness with a touch of crunchy tropical fruits." West Australian, Ray Jordan (Australia), 20 Nov 08
92 Points. "It’s beautifully balanced - the two varieties join together to form a very enjoyable wine…very good value." 'The Keys Review of Wines (KROW), Tony Keys (Australia), October 2008
91 Points / Top Aussie White. "These Margaret River varieties have typical snow pea, twiggy aromas together with candy and peppermint. This has more palate depth and persistence than most of its peers. One often gets the feeling Sandalford tries that extra bit harder. Good drinking now." Good Living - Sydney Morning Herald, Huon Hooke (Australia), 16 Sep 08
Winery Tasting Notes
Very pale lime as one would expect from a fresh new vintage of white wine.
Supremely aromatic with lifted notes of nettle and box wood. Underneath lurks a touch of fresh grapefruit hinting at the Semillon portion of the blend.
Some real pizzazz here! Cracking herbal notes with some punchy gooseberry and fine nettle flavours giving complexity and length to the palate. Fine acid balance again highlights the strength of the 2009 vintage making this wine one not to disappoint.
Drink well chilled whilst young and vivacious.
