Winery Tasting Notes

Pale straw

The nose presents fine aromas of toast and wood echoed by delicate notes of brioche and vanilla.

A fresh and smooth palate of pink grapefruit and white peach follows with a long, rich finish. Its delicacy and generous fruitiness is matched by its supreme ageing potential.

Food Matching

This celebratory and ceremonial wine is the perfect accompaniment to seafood and shellfish.

Vintage Conditions

Favourable weather conditions saw flowering begin around mid-June while exceptionally sunny summer weather provided perfect conditions for ripening. Wines from the 1999 vintage are clear, pure and mature. The Chardonnays have the floral characteristics indicative of great vintages and the Pinot Noirs are fine and rich with robust berry flavours.
