A tiny portion of shiraz grapes were left to hang in our Yertabulti vineyard to gain extra ripeness before being hand picked. A wonderful nine year barrel-aged brandy spirit was added halting fermentation whilst still on skins. The resulting wine displays lifted ripe liqueur strawberries and raspberries with hints of cedar and mocha. Aged in old French oak barriques, the wine has developed rich mouth filling ‘fruit-cake’ characters with a silky texture that lingers on the palate.
