The Sauvignon Blanc provides the lifted fresh passionfruit and citrus characters with a subtle grassy note. The palate displays intense passionfruit and tropical fruits, with the Semillon providing the fresh structure and persistant lime flavour.

Winery Tasting Notes

Vintage: The 2007 vintage was very dry with less than half the average rainfall. The dry growing conditions ensured the vines had very low yields providing the fruit and the resulting wine with great generosity and intensity. Vineyard: The Sauvignon Blanc is grown on our elevated Knappstein vineyard east of the town of Clare which helps retain natural acid and fresher fruit character. The Semillon is grown at Knappstein's Ackland Vineyard at Watervale where the soils produce the fine structure and intense flavour.
