True to Eden Valley character, St Hallett Eden Valley Riesling has lemon blossom aromas and pristine lime flavours held together by spine-tingling steely acidity and a long mineral finish.

The Eden Valley sub-region is perched 250 metres above the adjacent Barossa Valley sub-region, at approximately 550 metres above sea level. This cooler Barossa sub-region is the historical home to some of Australia’s finest Rieslings.

Winery Tasting Notes

Vibrant pale straw with bright green hues.

This wine reveals a lifted bouquet of talc, citrus blossom and zesty lemons.

The refreshing palate brings together the enticing flavours of citrus and limes, akin to the refreshing flavours of a citrus sorbet in between courses. The delicate acid persistence goes on and on! It displays great purity of aroma and flavour, coupled with succulent natural acidity and finesse.

Food Matching

This wine is delicious paired with freshly shuckled oysters, is excellent with Asian style dishes or a great pad thai - and will beautifully complement all seafood dishes, particularly shellfish with with lemon based sauces. Essential luggage for your next South Eastern Asian holiday or your favourite dumplings restaurant!

Cellaring Potential

Drink while young, fresh and crisp or cellar for up to 8 years. The freshness of its youth is maintained excellently under screw cap. Typical of great Riesling, this wine has the pedigree, strucutre and acidity to develop and truly reward those with the virtue of patience.

Winery Profile

Brand Profile Image

In the heart of the Barossa Valley, Australia’s best known wine region, lies St Hallett, one of the country’s premier wine producers. Established by the Lindner Family in 1944, for many years St Hallett’s winemaking focus was, like many local wineries, on producing fortified wines. However during the seventies and eighties St Hallett turned to explore the true potential of the Barossa through premium table wines. This has resulted in St Hallett’s elevation as one of Australia’s best producers.

St Hallett is renowned for crafting full-flavored, textured wines entirely from Barossa Valley fruit and is credited with producing benchmark wines of the region such as the iconic St Hallett Old Block Shiraz, made from vines aged up to 100 years old.
