Redstone cabernet sauvignon takes its name from the red coloured ironstone that is part of the old soils at Coriole. This stone is also used in the original buildings that date from 1860. The wine is made from several different vineyards in the Seaview sub-region including Coriole.

Winery Tasting Notes
This wine is inky purple-red in colour.
When first opened there are gentle oak-derived aromas of marshmallow and coffee - followed by lavender and tart blackberry.
The palate is complex but not demanding, reflecting all the above in a medium bodied, balanced style. The tannins are soft and very fine, producing a silky texture. The fruit characters are complemented by gentle malt and chocolate flavours, a distinct regional reflection.
While Redstone Cabernet is made to be enjoyed young, the 2008 is an outstanding vintage to cellar as well.
