This is a finer style of dessert wine more in the European tradition with lusciousness balanced by acidity and a low level of alcohol.

94 Points. As ever, hyper concentrated and rich; luscious, sweet lime juice and pineapple fruit balanced by lingering acidity. James Halliday James Halliday Wine Companion 2009 Jan-09
"Tamar Ridge's excellent stickies have been doing well in tiol and intertiol events. The 2006 won a blue-gold at the 2009 Sydney Intertiol Wine Competition. Italian judge Maurizio Gily wrote: 'Very well played. Minerality, botrytis fruit, pear in particular. Mountain flowers and honey are all well balanced in the nose. Good acidity balances that sweetness. Probably increasing in time. Still very young.' " Sunday Examiner 15 Mar-09
Winery Tasting Notes
Bright, pale gold.
Appealing aromas of ripe apricot and glacé pineapple that leap out of the glass.
Luscious ripe tropical fruits with strong hints of ripe apricot balanced by cleansing acidity that prevents the wine from cloying. The overall impact is a wine that is sumptuously luscious with lovely mouthfeel while finishing with a crisp edge that adds to its appeal.
