90 PTS - "From Marlborough, an Alsace-style gris made by Ben Glover of Wither Hills. Exotically spicy honeysuckle aromas, with a rich palate of good flavour, depth and character. It's rich but finishes clean and dry, with good balance, inviting another sip." - Huon Hooke, Good Living - SMH, July 2009
"Very fresh, showing pronounced pear varietal character. The palate is richly flavoured and satisfying." - Lester Jesberg, Winewise, April 2009
"…a freshly aromatic wine with pear/spice flavours and some green apple notes." - Winestate, April 2009
Winery Tasting Notes
This has classic aromas of bright white peach and pear with an almost spicy apple crumble character under lying the primary citrus brights.
The palate displays a wonderful lush palate with generous weight and even texture enhancing the fresh acidity, apple blossom and pear flavours.
A wine to enjoy at any occasion or try with salt & pepper squid and walnut and pear salad.
