Light straw-green; a delicate wine with grapefruit and white peach to the fore, oak little more than a ghost in the background; despite this delicacy, does have surprising length and persistence, and will build over the next few years. Winery Tasting Notes
Light straw coloured
A harmonious balance between white peach and nectarine fruits with complex mealy notes. Adding to the complexity are subtle hints of grilled cashews and elegant, well integrated French oak.
There is front palate richness from the nectarine and white peach fruit characters, which is followed seamlessly by the textured mid palate. Complex mealy notes and the subtle new oak add to the layers and the power of the wine. The natural acidity provides freshness to the mid palate. A grapefruit pith finish, so typical of Great Southern Chardonnay, gives the wine length and persistence.
