Punchy stone fruits and vibrant lemon citrus notes integrated with rich spicy oak and nutty complexity.
The fresh stone fruit and subtle citrus follow onto the palate. Delicate use of oak has imparted soft cedar character with a hint of smoke that adds to weight of the fruit. Malo-lactic fermentation and battonage during extended lees contact has resulted in a seamless and creamy texture which is supported by lovely natural acidity that gives a defined and long finish.
The wine is easily enjoyable now but will continue to evolve in the bottle and will reward those who carefully cellar it over the next 4 or 5 years.
