Delivers a nice mouthful of flavour and is ideal for the summer months ahead.

Crisp, fresh and dry offering up pineapple / stonefruit flavours plus a little greenage, with the mineral acidity kicking in at the end to give length and balance.

Expert Reviews

In WA a blend such as this would be called Classic White, without listing the varieties. The White Mullet (pursued by a pike, perhaps) is another take on a pleasant white wine.Rating 87 - James Halliday - Australian Wine Companion 2011

Winery Profile

Brand Profile Image

Pikes Vintners is an iconic family owned and operated winery set amongst the hills and valleys of South Australia's beautiful Clare Valley.

Established in 1984 the winery and vineyards are situated in the historic and picturesque Polish Hill River sub region on the eastern side of the Clare Valley. The climate in this area is cooler and the soils are quite different compared to the rest of the region, imparting distinctive flavours and aromas to the wines.

Pikes is best known for its world class Riesling, but is becoming increasingly recognized for high quality, elegant red wines and their ever popular Sauvignon Blanc Semillon blend. Pikes have also been a leader in planting new and alternative varieties to the district including Sangiovese, Pinot Grigio and Viognier. Pikes also produces Pikes Oakbank- a sparkling Pilsener style beer.

The distinctive English Pike fish appears on all Pikes products.
