Concentrated, rich dark berry fruits with soft, ripe tannins and balanced acidity keeping the structure together. Long and quite elegant.

Australian Financial Review, Tim White (Australia), 05 Dec 08 94 Points "Sweet and bright smelling berries, gets greenage-plummy in the glass. Mossy, woodsy smells, too. Fine fruit texture in the mouth, sweet succulent forest berries and an almost oatcake tasting sapidity. A mix of the rich and the vibrant wit well articulated tannin. Lots of fruit and complexity. "
Winery Tasting Notes
Deep red - almost black.
Fully ripened plummy, spicy Shiraz fruit with some blueberry and dark chocolate notes as well. These are all complimented nicely by a swirl of charry French oak somewhere in the mix. Displays a degree of opulence that we don’t often see in a Clare Shiraz.
The palate is all ripe cherries, plums and spice with a core of dark chocolate running through the mid palate, while a hit of fine, dry tannins on the finish adds length and structure to the soft, plush fruit.
A richly flavoured wine that will be most attractive to Shiraz fans. No problem to drink this wine as a youngster, but as usual 4-7 years will see some evolution in the wine and repay those who care enough to stash some away in a cool, dark place.
