The concentration of fruit follows onto a rich powerful palate with intensity and length, balanced by good acidity and very long tannins. A wine of traditional Shiraz character.

Winery Tasting Notes
Mid red hues are consistent with its age
Hints of earth and evident cool-climate fruit: notes of minty freshness still tell us of its Padthaway origins.
The palate is seriously weighty, with earthy flavours matching those aromas. It also shows some obviously-Shiraz flavours of ink, hints of olives, and subtle spice.
It’s food-friendly because of its cool-climate savoury structure, and with its tannins still fresh and dry even after a few years in bottle; will reward ageing until at least 2016.
A classic Shiraz deserves a classic dish: rosemary-crusted rack of lamb; fresh rabbit and herb pie; or maybe a (gentle...) lamb curry.
